Abigail Arunga

Abigail Arunga is a Kenyan writer, author, scriptwriter, and cultural commentator whose work spans literature, journalism, film, and television. She is the author of Akello, A Side of Raunch, and the children’s titles The Mysteries of Jabali and Sauti and Siri ya Mwezi. Her writing has appeared in outlets including Daily Nation, Akoroko, Sinema Focus, and the Goalkeepers Report. On screen, she has written for productions such as Pepeta, 4Play, and Maisha Makutano. Her short film Bella Is Dying Maybe Next Week debuted in Nairobi in 2025. She was awarded Best Scriptwriter (TV Drama) at the 2025 Women in Film Awards.
