Moussa Séne Absa is an award-winning Senegalese artist, writer, musician and film director. He has won awards for his short films, documentaries, and features. His short film Le prix du mensonge earned him the Silver Tanit at the Carthage Film Festival in 1988. The Dakar-based filmmaker and visual artist, who was a close friend of Djibril Diop Mambéty’s He has devoted his career to the trilogy composed by Tableau Ferraille(1997), Madame Brouette (Silver Bear in Berlin in 2003) and Xalé,The Childhood Wounds (2022).
