Ntone Edjabe

Ntone Edjabe is a Cameroonian-born writer, journalist, DJ, and the founder and Editor‑in‑Chief of Chimurenga, a pan‑African publication of culture, art, and politics based in Cape Town, South Africa. He launched Chimurenga in 2002 to create an innovative platform for African voices and ideas. Edjabe has also co‑founded the Pan African Space Station (PASS), co‑edited African Cities Reader, and contributed to outlets including Politique africaine and BBC Focus on Africa. His work has been recognised with the Principal Award of the Prince Claus Awards (2011), and he was Abramowitz Artist‑in‑Residence at MIT.
