Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor
Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor is a Kenyan writer whose mythopoetic prose has reshaped African and global literatures. She won the Caine Prize for African Writing for The Weight of Whispers and is the author of Dust and The Dragonfly Sea, works weaving Kenya’s histories with an Afro-Asian imagination. A founder of The Elephant and co-founder of the Macondo Literary Festival, she promotes African-centred storytelling across literature and film. Formerly executive director of the Zanzibar International Film Festival, she is a global keynote voice on poetic geopolitics and worldbuilding.
