Christopher King is an award-winning Australian director, editor, cinematographer, and producer based in Nairobi, Kenya. He co-founded Circle & Square Productions with his wife and creative partner, Maia Lekow, where they craft cinematic, observational documentaries that bridge continents and challenge narratives. Their debut feature, The Letter, was Kenya’s official submission to the 93rd Academy Awards, earning international acclaim. Their second feature, How to Build a Library (2025), premiered at Sundance and is touring major film festivals. King’s work captures the poetry of real life while interrogating history and power, and the duo’s third feature is slated for 2027.
