Lilly Bekele-Piper
Lilly Bekele-Piper is a cultural architect whose work spans public speaking, event curation, design, and media production, centering African culture and its global diasporas. She is the founder of Selam & Hello, an award-winning media and events platform, and Amina, a Pan-African lifestyle and textile house. Over 25 years, she has convened artists, thinkers, and policymakers across festivals and institutions including the World Bank, Harvard University, and the Mastercard Foundation. An Aspen Institute Africa-UK Catalyst Fellow (2025/26), Lilly is based in Nairobi and produces cross-continental projects linking joy, justice, and storytelling.
