About Nairobi Litfest

Nairobi Litfest is a festival of ideas; a dynamic platform that unites writers, artists, and thinkers from the region and beyond with the community. Together, we amplify voices, inspire creativity, and ignite discussions that challenge conventions and spark change. Since its inaugural edition in 2021, the festival has brought literary and cultural experiences to Nairobi’s public libraries, offering masterclasses, performances, panel discussions, and book talks. What makes it distinct is its unique setting: Nairobi’s libraries serve as both venues and cultural hubs, connecting communities with ideas in vibrant, accessible spaces.
